Chevrolet S-10 Trucks – Reliable in Compact Pickup Trucks

The Japanese Company start of the Chevrolet S-10 Trucks at the beginning of 1980’s and quickly, the compact size pickup trucks became more popular. The highly configurable and affordable, which the individual trucks lover look for, in order to meet the essential needs especially for towing and hauling. The second generation of the S-10 trucks was introduced in the year 1994 – 2004. These trucks were available in extended; regular and later it was also available in Crew Cab with long beds and Short beds. They also introduced the “Sportside” bed in the year 1996, allowing few options for the three door access.

The regular cab models were offered by the ZR2 package, and in the year 1995 it was also available with extended cab. The SS package in the series offered sport suspension, high out put, alloy wheels and sport suspension. The ZR2 package further added additional feature name ‘Machismo’ for the Chevrolet S-10 Trucks, in which the LS and regular version lack this amazing options. The ZR2 includes tougher suspension components, standard all four- wheel drive and larger off road tires. The Chevy’s S-10 trucks for the extended cab involved aided loading cargo, access panel for the third door access, passenger seats in the rear compartment, which can be further folded down.

The Chevy S-10 trucks for the year 1994-97 include 2.2 L, engine with four cylinders for the wheel-rear drive models, producing 118 ho. In the year 1996 the V6s were upgraded that offer more torque and horsepower, along with four speed automatic and five speed manual transmission. The safety equipments for the Chevrolet S-10 Trucks were not much advanced, but later it received ABS system, airbags and more. The Shabby interiors of the trucks was redesign in the year 1998, that offer aggressive look and styling for the interiors improved. The wheel flares for full ground effects, body color grillie, bumpers, 16-inch aluminum wheels and sport suspension.
